My Core’dinations Creative Frenzy

15 Apr

I have been working on some cards for the Core’dinations Design Team Call.

I put the finishing touches on these and I am getting ready to submit these to CORE’DINATIONS.

Wish me luck, I am sure the competition will be fierce, in a friendly way:)

This is my first card.  I made this with the CORE’DINATIONS VINTAGE FLOWER POWER collection paper.

This paper is so gorgeous.  It has the look and feel of linen.  The colors for the core are rich and beautiful.

Here is a side view and a close up of my ribbon and flowers.

I used a piece of the Graphics 45 paper for the focal point, I love how all the colors came together on this card.

This card I made with a piece from the WHITEWASH COLLECTION.

I love all the summer colors on this.

I have sprinkled my fruits with my PK GLITZ glitter.

The WHITEWASH paper is fun to work with.  It reminds me of paper sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Now we have arrived at my last entry.

For this card, I wanted to show you that you can use this metal dies to EMBOSS with.

I took my Oriental ButterflyDoily and before running it through my big shot, I placed the thinner of the 2 EMBOSSING PADS on top of my paper.

The sandwich, for the BIG SHOT, would be Multi Purpose Platform on TAB 1, Acrylic plate, die facing up, paper right side up, embossing pad, acrylic plate and then you are ready to roll it through the machine.

The Rubber Embossing pad stops the die from actually cutting.

I used 3 different papers for this butterfly.  I love the way it looks.

If you have any thin metal dies, like the CHEERY LYNN DESIGNS, experiment by embossing with them.

With the CORE’DINATIONS lines of paper you really can’t fail.

Wish me luck, I truly would love to work with CORE’DINATIONS, wouldn’t you??

Have a great weekend, go make a card, have fun and come back and visit me soon:)

Jeannie, this kit challenge is a lot of fun~~ there are challenges posted on the blog( http://counterfeitkitchallenge.blogspot.com/) through the month that you can do or just use the kit for scrapping or card making. I have found that I am using all the stash that I have accumulated over the years in ways that I hadn’t thought of before. You should check the blog out when you get a chance.
