Sweet Stamps with a HOT SUMMER theme.

2 Aug

The Sweet Stamps blogspot new challenge is UP!  The theme:

HOT TIME IN THE SUMMER

What do you get when you combine the stamps called FOUR HEART MEDALLION and YOU’RE AN ANGLE, the die cut called LACE FLOURISH BUTTERFLY with the AUTHENTIQUE PAPER line called SPLENDID?

Well, this is what you get:

I had soo much fun making this card.

I tried to make it seem like the heart was the ANGEL.  This is a chipboard heart, that I first painted with white acrylic paint.  Then embossed the MEDALLION stamp on the whit paint with black ink and clear embossing powder.  Then a used a combination of colored pencils, permanent markers, glitter pens and glue and glitter to finish the heart off.

I die cut the butterfly from GRAFIX ARTS METALLIC FOIL BOARD .  The butterfly is a very intricate die, but the METALLIC FOIL BOARD cut like butter.  I almost wanted to just use the butterfly and nothing else it is that gorgeous.

I also used embossing folders and clear embossing powder on my base papers, so the whole card shimmers and shines everywhere.

Now it is your turn.  The new challenge HOT TIME IN THE SUMMER means we want you to use some bright/hot summer colors.  That is easy to do, right?

So head on over to Sweet Stamps blog and link up.

You could be the winner of a $20.00 shopping spree to Sweet Stamps.com.

All you have to do is try!

Thanks for visiting and have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY!!!
