Welcome!
If you aren’t already a follower, we’d love to have you follow the blog!

We’ve gathered designers from some of our favorite manufacturers to show you ways to create something from the heart this holiday season.
Now because I am one of the designers for Authentique Paper, I want to be sure you know about the giveaway on the Authentique Paper blog.
How does one of the 6×6 Bundles from EACH of our current 7 collections sound?
We’ll even throw in a few other Authentique Paper goodies as well!
{Note: Due to low stock because of the popularity of some of our collections,
we may need to substitute one or more of the 6×6 bundles shown above with a 6×6 Nest from the Free Bird Series at the time of shipment.}

Final details:
Leave a comment on each blog along the hop to be entered to win a prize pack from one of the participating manufacturer sponsors (including this great prize pack shown above)! The winners will be chosen randomly from all comments on the manufacturer blogs AND the designer blogs.
{Authentique Paper winner must have a US/Canada address.}Blog comments close on Nov 7, 2011 at 11:59 PM {PST}.

*****************************

Let’s move on to the Handmade Holiday Project I have made today.
I cut 6 pieces of paper 2 each at the following lengths: 4″ x 4″, 3″ x 3″ and 2″ x 2″. For each square size be sure to use 2 different patterns for each square.

I then needed to cut each square in 1/2″ strips.  I used my Cheery Lynn Designs called Wittle Wicker to save time and get perfect cuts.

I used some removable tape to keep the paper from moving while I cut the strips.

Here you can see all my strips cut and ready to go.

Nest I need to pierce a hole through all the strips on both ends about 1/4″ from the ends.

Here are the pins I am going to use for my projects.

This one pin has a little cap on it, but I need to take it off to start.

I have alternated my paper patterns on the pin, starting with the smallest length first.

This was kind of hard to take a picture of but after you have gotten all the strips for your smallest length on the pin, you need to attach the other end of the strips on the pin.  You need to start with the strip that you first put on and them keep putting the strips on in the order you placed them on the pin to begin with.

Here is what your ball will look like after you get the 1st set of strips on.

You will want to attach a rubber stopper to keep these strips in place.

Repeat the process 2 more times with the other lengths of paper.

Once all the layers are on that you want, you may embellish are desired.

Here are some pictures of my finished ornaments.  Bear with me, the day I got these done and took pictures, my camera died.  In my frenzy to hurry and try to find my battery charger, I left these outside and it started to rain!  Not so great for paper ornaments!!

The ornaments looked great on day 1.  But after their shower, their photo shoot on day 2 left my ornaments looking a little tired, oops!!

I took a bunch of pictures so hopefully you can see that they really are beautiful.

This is such a great idea for you to make with your kids.  Older ones since they are made with pins.

Authentique Paper has a color palette for anyone so chances are you will be able to please anyone on your Christmas list with these ornaments.

I personally love the layered ones since they are so colorful and pleasing.

Here they are, one final look!

I hope you are picking up some great ideas along the hop.

You have a couple more stops…be sure to head on over to

Thank you for stopping by and HAPPY HOPPING, you are almost to the end! Give yourself a pat on the back!
