Welcome to the Bunnies and Blossoms Banner Hop for Special Needs Children.
Today and tomorrow (March 24-25), 30+fantastic papercrafters have come together to create Spring-themed banners.
They will then donate these banners to Ellen (CardMonkey), who works asAdmissions Coordinator at Pediatric Specialty Care (PSC), www.pediatricspecialty.com.
PSC is a long-term care facility for specialneeds children who are medically-fragile and/or technologically-dependent.
The babies, children and youths at PSC range in age from birth to 21, and areadmitted from all over the country.
Some are infants, born prematurely and before their lungs have had a chance to mature.
Others have serious birth defects, illnesses or injuries from accidents that cause them to need tender loving carein a home-like environment — many for their lifetimes.
Having had 2 preemies myself, this is kind of scenario is close to my heart.
This is my 7th child and she and my 6th child were both preemies born 3 months early.
I am well aware of the thankfulness parents have for the special things that are done for these babies and children during their long hospital stays.
I hope that all our banners ease the stress and bring a smile to the families we are donating these banners to.
Our banners are meant to cheer the young patients, their families, and the staff at PSC.
Here is the banner that I made and will be sending to Ellen to decorate a child’s room:
I do have some blog candy to give away along with the BIG PRIZE you can see on our HOP HOSTESSES BLOG:
Here is my prize a bright and colorful embellishment kit. I will pick a random winner from Random.Org.
As for the BIG PRIZE for visiting us today, how about a beautiful handmade (courtesy of our Blog Hop Hostess, CardMonkey!) Cricut Cozy Covers?!
Each one is individually styled in your pick of colors and embroidered words!
These are RARE because CardMonkey does not make them for sale and she usually sticks to paper, not sewing!!
To qualify, there are two steps: 1. Comment on as many Bunny & Blossoms Blog Hop blogs as you wish — the more blogs on which you comment, the more chances you have to win. There will only be one winner, picked at random by Random.Org.
2. Follow and comment on the CardMonkey blog … Leave a comment on our Hop Hostess’s site (http://cardmonkey-business.blogspot.com) and let her know if your name is picked, what 2 accent colors you’d like on your Cricut Cozy Cover, andw hat text you’d like embroidered (up to 3 lines). You MUST be a follower of the CardMonkey blog to win and you MUST leave a way for her to contact you if your name is picked.
So now …. onto your next stop on the Bunnies and Blossoms Banner Hop:

Beautiful flowers. I love the bright colors you used and how cheery it is. The children will LOVE it.
How in the WORLD do you find time to make such BEAUTIFUL crafts — consistently, I’m a LONG time follower of your gorgeous blog — as the Mom of 7!? OH MY, next time I whine about being super-busy, I am going to throw up a prayer to you with a large Mama-Salute. HOW PRECIOUS your pictures are of your 7th baby in the NICU.
Thank you again for participating in this hop, and especially for donating your banner for PSC’s children! May you always be blessed for your kindness!!
Fondly,

Oh such a nice and bright banner and so different, this is great the kids will love the butterflies and flowers, it will brighten their day! thank you for all the time spent on this banner its so appreciated. 🙂
I wish I could hop this weekend, but I am busy hopping. I have 9 bunnies at my house. 6 are less than 1 week old babies, 1 Momma, 1 Auntie and my new addition to our family – Mirabella. They all came from the Nashville Bunny Rescue. The first 8 are going tu the BunnyFeathers rescue in Morgantown, WV Sunday. People think bunnies are great to give their kids for Easter. Then they get tired of them and they dump them at the pound or simply let them loose. Nashville Bunny Rescue saves as many of these little guys as possible, has them spayed or Neutered and finds loving homes for them. Perhaps you could donate some bunny themed cards for them to sell at their next fundraiser?
I have had such fun hopping around on your various blogs this morning, admiring all the banners
. It is so wonderful that you all are doing this for the kids, the parents, and the staff!
