Welcome Little Baby Sunshine

17 Jul
If you have been following us this week over on Joys Life Design Team, you know we are focusing one SHAPED CARDS.
My shaped card, as you can see, is a bottle.
Using the PUN IN THE SUN stamp set, I embossed the phrase “Hello Sunshine” onto the card.

I then made my own sunshine peeking from underneath the bottle rim.

The green words are just printed off the computer to match the color scheme of the card.
I just love how this all came together.  Wouldn’t this make an adorable card for a new baby?
I hope you have enjoyed  my card today..this has been Jeannie from The Polka Cabana with today’s post.
Most of the card supplies are from an older Deena Ziegler Kit I had.

Gel A Tins Stamps – Little Piggies

5 Apr
Hello everyone..
I am here with yet another cute card today.
I am using the set called:
When I make a card, I will often choose which image from which stamp set I want to use for my card/project.
With today’s card, I knew I wanted to use the piggies from the Pet Shop set.
So I started to look for different phrases for pigs and came up with nothing.
So then I decided to make my own background paper using the “This little piggie” poem.
I then mounted my piggies on the background paper and created a cute baby card.
I made the inside sentiment to go along with the theme.
I just think the piggies and the different shades of pink I used make a wonderful card!
My advice for today: Always look for the unexpected.
With a little imagination you can make almost any stamp set you own fit into a certain theme you need!

Authentique Paper March Sketch Challenge

3 Mar

It is that time again. What time?  Time to get on over to Authentique Paper’s blog and check out or sketch challenges and join us.

Why? Because they are fabulous sketches and you have the chance to win a paper pack from Authentique Paper?

Do you need any other reasons?  I thought not!

Here is the sketch I followed.

Here is what I came up with.

I had a blast with this sketch.  What do you think of those ONSIES?

They are courtesy of Jessica Weible Illustrations.

They are a digital stamp called String of Onsies.

Digital stamps are so much fun to work with.

I thought the onsies looked adorable in different papers from Free Bird, Blush & Delight collection.

I hope you have time to head on over to Authentique Paper’s blog and see what the other, wonderfully talented, design team members have come up with.

Be sure and join us on this challenge, you can’t go wrong, the sketches are really awesome designs!

Have a great weekend and happy crafting!

Wednesday Wowzer, Baby Style

28 Feb
I have a cute little idea to share with you today.
If you have a friend that is expecting or if you are looking for a creative way to make  your baby announcement…here is an idea.
Create a large tag with {ippity}’s Preggo Good Luck set…
…and tie it to a diaper.
I created my own sentiment, I love the all occasion type sentiments, that can work for multiple occasions!
I used all the pastel baby colors and when you use them altogether, they are so sweet.
I hope you like my project.  These itty bitty {ippity} sets are so much fun, I just adore them all!
Thanks for stopping by today, this has been Jeannie from The Polka Cabana with today’s post.
I will post the winner of last weeks giveaway a little later this morning..so be sure to look for who I randomly let RANDOM.ORG choose!

Gel a tins with Authentique Paper

25 Jan

Today I want to show you a card I came up with just by looking at the wrapping on my Authentique paper Miracle Collection Kit.

Just by looking at the above I thought it’d make a great background.  Here it is cut to the size I needed.

You can see here, I am adding my layers of Cheery Lynn Designs border dies, fabric tape etc.

For the stamps I embossed them in a powder that is a bit “shabby chic.”  The image is distorted slightly, but it works for this card.

The set I am using is called:

Sugar & Spice

Here is the card all assembled.

I love the soft colors and they playful stamps.

Such a cute card for a new bundle of joy!

I hope you will remember to look at covers of paper pads, kit inserts and packaging.  There is always something that can be reused, just like I reused the kit insert on this card!  Just remember to always, think out side of the box!

I hope you have enjoyed my post today!  Be sure to visit the Gel A Tins blog because we have some AMAZING designers that are always coming up with new things to try!

Have a great day and see ya next week with more GEL A TINS fun!
