Valentines Day with Rubbermoon Stamps

10 Jan

A couple of weeks ago, at work, my delightful boss and I were perusing the new Stamps, etc available to order for Valentine’s Day.  Some companies send a display board along with the Holiday Themed stamps, to show HOW to use the stamps.  My boss, Lindsay, and I were very sad what the new stamps and display boards looked like, so what did we do?  Well she ordered what she thought would work, including some fun Rubber Moon stamps and I got to make the DISPLAY BOARD!

Here are some of the products I used.  I am in LOVE with Authentique Paper’s new SMITTEN line.  I used papers from Smitten for all the cards.

I Love You card with Cheery Lynn Designs New Release dies

24 Aug
Hello Everyone…This is Jeannie with a beautiful card to show off some of the new release of Cherry Lynn Designs dies.
In the top left corner I have used the new Butterfly Out die.
The bird on the branch is a combination of the new Hummingbird die and Embellishment #2 set.
The delicate flower is made from the Build a Flower #2 Plate.
I’ve embellished some of the flowers and the butterfly with some i-rocks from Imaginisce, leftover from our fun joint swap with them.
My card is based on a design and products from a kit from Deena Ziegler.
I hope you have enjoyed my creation today.  I live for making these weekly creations, I really do!
Cheery Lynn Designs are magical to work with and this new release, WOW!!  That about says it all!
Have a great weekend, this has been Jeannie with The Polka Cabana posting for Cheery Lynn Designs.

Wednesday Wowzer with {ippity} stamps

18 Jul
Today I am sharing a card I whipped up very last-minute for my, I Heart {ippity}, post.
I am using a set that is called Born of my Heart.
There are lots of great phrases in this new set.  I did not use the full phrase that went with this “LOVE”.
But, that is what is so great about this set.
You can break the phrases apart and use bits and pieces or use the phrases and words “as is.”
I was able to create this card in literally no time at all since this is a card I have from one of my older kits from my delightful friend and mentor, Deena Ziegler.
I love to buy her kits and sometimes I create her cards like her diagrams say to and other times like with this one, I just kind of do my own thing!
I hope you have liked my WOWZER for today!

Wowzers with {ippity}

6 Jun
I was getting ready to make my post for today and saw that there was one day left for Heather’s challenge on the Chick Challenges Blog and wanted to hurry and participate.
Here is the sketch for the challenge.
I rotated the sketch to the left and used it this way.
I am using the set called BECAUSE OF YOU.
The color combination of this card follows the challenge that is up at the HIPPITY WITH IPPITY blog.
In addition to the colors it needed to be a wedding, anniversary type card.
This was a fun color combination to work with, way out of my normal zone.
When the card flap is opened, you can see my loose interpretation of the sketch.
I made this for that someone special in my life!
I hope you have enjoyed my interpretations of the 2 challenges.  You still have time to join the one going on at the Get Hippity with Ippity site.
Here is the link for that!

I used EARTHTONE Blueberry on most of my embossed images!!

Gel A Tins Elephant Love

1 Mar

I have such a fun card to show you today!

I am using the set called ELEPHANT GARDEN.

I am using a rainbow stamp pad that I recently acquired.

I took each stamped image and embossed them with clear embossing powder.

The result is this beautiful raised bright pattern.

I used this as my background paper and stamped the elephants from the set in the same manner.

Since this set is called Elephant Garden, I decided to create a scene the Elephants in a garden.

I love all the color and dimension on this card.

It is such a cheerful presentation.

What do you think?  I love this set!  I have so much fun creating with these fun elephants and whimsical patterns.

 Thanks for stopping by today.

New Dies From Cheery Lynn Designs **FAINT**

24 Feb
Today I am using the LACE OVAL REFLECTIONS die to make a unique banner.
To start out I cut a lot of ovals from the largest die in the LACE OVAL set.
I use the Sizzix Big Shot and I can still use the largest die, by folding my paper in half and cutting the shape.  I will have a fold line down the center, but for this project, that doesn’t matter.
Here you can my folded ovals, cut, still in half, and then I scored the ovals at 1/2″ increments.
Here are the same papers, opened up at their full size.
Can you believe how big those are and that I cut something that big from a Big Shot?
Once again, here the oval has just been cut, the paper in folded down the middle…
…voilà, here the same paper from above has been opened to it’s full size, it’s like magic!!
I am making 2 different shapes for my banner.  To make the flower shaped base, I need 3 of the largest ovals.
Here they are cut, and scored at 1/2″ increments.
Here the same ovals are, folded accordion style on the scored lines.
Fold the accordion folded ovals in half.
Hot glue the centers of each oval.
Then hot glue the 3 ovals together, they will look something like this.
Fan the outer edges open to meet each other on the other side and hot glue the remaining edges to form the flower shape.
The other banner shape I created is a butterfly shape.  For the butterfly you will need 2 ovals, folded, scored and glued in the same manner as the flower shapes.
Because we I only have 2 ovals, when I flair the ovals around to glue, the ovals create this butterfly shape instead of the flower shape.
To string all the shapes, I cut a paper towel tube up and glued them to the back of each shape.
After embellishing the fronts, I strung 2 layers of tulle through all the shapes to create the SPRING banner.
To embellish the fronts, I used the SWEDISH SPRING OVAL in the centers of each shape.
I had some large letters that I used to spell the word SPRING and then added lots of Cheery Lynn Designs flowers from The Floral Shop.
All the bright and Cheery paper is from Momenta.
Here you can see the letters more close up.
I just love all the colors and patterns!
Here is one last look!
I hope you have enjoyed this post today.
Hopefully you can see just how versatile the REFLECTIONS dies are.
You can just do anything with these dies, at least it seems like that to me!
Have you checked out or current challenge?
The theme is FRAME IT.

New Dies From Cheery Lynn Designs **FAINT**

15 Feb

I have to say, I am so lucky to have the opportunity to play around with the new release of Cheery Lynn Designs dies.

The February 2012 release is a one of a kind idea that you are going to love.

You can get a look at all the new dies here.

For this project I am using the dies that are called REFLECTIONS dies.

I am using all the dies in this set, but I am only using 1/2 of their potential size.

This is a card I made for my hubby yesterday.

I decided I loved the way the dies all looked cut and stacked on top of each other, I would make a card based on many layers.

I took an old song by Bobby Vinton and created this card based on the song.

I have always loved this song and if I were to have a song dedicated to me…this would make it into my top 10, easily!

I have also used some of the cut outs from my Heartland America die,

Heart within My Heart Die, the new Lace Corner Deco B and Optimistic Font dies.

I have been saving these vintage looking Pooh Bear stickers for a special project, and my hubby made the cut!

The card made him smile, so I guess it was a hit?  Here is a side view so you can see how beautiful all the layers stack together.

One last look, I just adore this paper I used by Crate Paper.

I only used a handful of the dies that Cherry Lynn Designs has released, so be sure to visit the website to see the complete collection.

Also, stop by our blog to check out the fantastic things the rest of the design team has made with their issues of the new release dies.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by today!

Wednesday Wowzer Time

25 Jan
Today I am sharing a card that our own {ippity} Heather has challenged us with.  You can find the challenge HERE.
Here is the sketch for the challenge.
Here is what I have created based on the sketch.
I have used 2 different sets on this card.  The sets are called,  Time for Friends and Your Friendship, My Cup of Tea.
I am also using my super yummy Embossing Powders from WOW Embossing Powders.
I loved the sketch.  I hope you like this card, I LOVE IT!  Polka Dots & Cherries, how can I go wrong with those, right?
Well that is it for me today!
ALSO….A BONUS CARD!!
This is using an itty, bitty, {ippity},(say that 3 times fast!!) called HAPPY.
You all know my love affair with Roy G. Biv and this phrase sang Roy G. Biv to me!
All those flowers are hand made by me using the fabulous die called Cuties 2. Th background flourish(my favorite) is called Fanciful Flourish. Both dies are by Cheery Lynn Designs.
This card I plan on entering into the NEW BEGINNINGS Challenge. You can read about that challenge here…wish me luck!!
Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
  See you next week!

JW Illustrations with Authentique Paper

23 Jan

It is a rainy day AGAIN and I ham creating with some cute things today!

Today I am going to show you a card I have made for JW Illustrations.

JW stands for Jessica Weible, just so you know!

Most of you know I have a thing for ladybugs, so I am using the LADY LOVE BUG digital stamp.

Here is what I came up with.

How do you like the paper combination?  It is a new collection from Authentique Paper called MIRACLE COLLECTION – GIRL.

As already mentioned the adorable bug is by JW Illustrations.  I love digital stamps because there is so much you can do with them.

I love being able to manipulate, and do what ever I can figure out how to do with, digital stamps.

As for the products I have used today here is a little list:

Stamp – Lady Love Bug – JW Illustrations

Paper – Authentique Papers – Miracle- Girl

Letter Stickers – Authentique Paper – Miracle Collection

Rhinestuds – Rhinstone Hues – Etsy

Pennant Die – Cheery Lynn Designs

Twine – The Twinery

Candi – Sweet Stamps.com

What do you think?  Do you use Digital Stamps?  If so, what is your favorite thing to do with them?  I’d love to know!

Ok…I am done for today!  I might make another something for tomorrow…you never know!

Have a great day!
