You have gotta see this!!

19 Apr

I am here today with a Sweet Stamps card that I have really put a lot of effort into.  I used the Sweet Stamps stamp called, FORGET ME NOT HEART.

I chose this stamp since the new stamp challenge on the Sweet Stamps blog is to use a frame stamp.

Remember, if you want to join our challenge, there is a $20.00 gift cert for the SWEET STAMPS store.

Come on and play along, what have you got to lose?

For my card today, I actually used black acrylic paint to stamp my image.

I chose paint, since I knew I was going to be using a bunch or different mediums and knew the dried paint could handle it.

I love my background on this card.

To create this, I used some of my Cheery Lynn Designs dies and by using the rubber embossing pad, I can use my dies as plates.

I wanted this to have rich, bold colors so I stuck to reds and blues.

To really make it shine, I uses some of my favorite stones and studs from RHINESTONE HUES.

I also used glass beads and my favorite glitters from PK GLITZ.

My doily background is done on a piece of Core’dnations VINTAGE COLLECTION.

OOOOH, I just love the way this has turned out!

Now, show your love and head on over to  Sweet Stamps and read the challenge rules and join our challenge.

Have a great week!

My card today is dedicated to my neighbor, Jim Wright, and his family.

Keep him in your prayers and may he be able to recover from his injuries.

My Core’dinations Creative Frenzy

15 Apr

I have been working on some cards for the Core’dinations Design Team Call.

I put the finishing touches on these and I am getting ready to submit these to CORE’DINATIONS.

Wish me luck, I am sure the competition will be fierce, in a friendly way:)

This is my first card.  I made this with the CORE’DINATIONS VINTAGE FLOWER POWER collection paper.

This paper is so gorgeous.  It has the look and feel of linen.  The colors for the core are rich and beautiful.

Here is a side view and a close up of my ribbon and flowers.

I used a piece of the Graphics 45 paper for the focal point, I love how all the colors came together on this card.

This card I made with a piece from the WHITEWASH COLLECTION.

I love all the summer colors on this.

I have sprinkled my fruits with my PK GLITZ glitter.

The WHITEWASH paper is fun to work with.  It reminds me of paper sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Now we have arrived at my last entry.

For this card, I wanted to show you that you can use this metal dies to EMBOSS with.

I took my Oriental ButterflyDoily and before running it through my big shot, I placed the thinner of the 2 EMBOSSING PADS on top of my paper.

The sandwich, for the BIG SHOT, would be Multi Purpose Platform on TAB 1, Acrylic plate, die facing up, paper right side up, embossing pad, acrylic plate and then you are ready to roll it through the machine.

The Rubber Embossing pad stops the die from actually cutting.

I used 3 different papers for this butterfly.  I love the way it looks.

If you have any thin metal dies, like the CHEERY LYNN DESIGNS, experiment by embossing with them.

With the CORE’DINATIONS lines of paper you really can’t fail.

Wish me luck, I truly would love to work with CORE’DINATIONS, wouldn’t you??

Have a great weekend, go make a card, have fun and come back and visit me soon:)

This was so much fun.  I made 3 things for them and I can’t wait to post pics of those projects.  Working with PK GLITZ and their products help me go beyond my comfort zone.  I played around a LOT with glitter and got comfortable with using it!  I also learned how enticing glitter and glitter SPOONS are to little kids!  I think they had as much fun playing with the PK GLITZ products as I did!  Until you can see my projects, enjoy the PK GLITZ products in the hands of my children!

Be sure to check back when I SHOW OFF my projects for PK GLITZ!!!  I can post on August 18th, but I will have some other things to post in the meantime!  So,  TA TA FOR NOW!!
