These are a few of my favorite things – At Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames

21 Mar

You will have to forgive me for the Christmas Papers on this project.

I made this in December for work sample.  I used the Basic Grey Attach Me Stickers through out this little album.

This stickers are pretty cool.  You can attach things in any album without having to punch holes in anything.

This little album in contained in a mini file folder, just like the ones Canvas Corp Makes.

All of the things I am hi-lighting in this post, are available at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames, in Grass Valley, CA.  (that’s where I work. 😉

I’m not going to go and describe each page to you.  This is just an idea of what you can do with these Attach Me Stickers.

Valentines Day with Rubbermoon Stamps

10 Jan

A couple of weeks ago, at work, my delightful boss and I were perusing the new Stamps, etc available to order for Valentine’s Day.  Some companies send a display board along with the Holiday Themed stamps, to show HOW to use the stamps.  My boss, Lindsay, and I were very sad what the new stamps and display boards looked like, so what did we do?  Well she ordered what she thought would work, including some fun Rubber Moon stamps and I got to make the DISPLAY BOARD!

Here are some of the products I used.  I am in LOVE with Authentique Paper’s new SMITTEN line.  I used papers from Smitten for all the cards.

Here is what the board looks like.

If you don’t live in Nevada County, you can order the stamps directly through Rubber Moon stamps.

I hope you have enjoyed this post today.  What fun things do you have planned for Valentine’s Day?

Glittered Roses Artisan Week

2 Dec

This week I am the featured ARTISAN on Glittered Roses Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Glittered-Roses/278487808854550

Glittered Roses creates and supports handmade. When you know the creator, you know the passion. When you know the passion you know the care it took. Promoting partners in such a diverse community rather it be a retailer that provides products or an individual who does the construction, highlighting the unique aspect of handmade businesses through social media is a great way to bring information forward. This week you will have an opportunity to take a look at my business and the crafts the I create by hand. Be sure and stop by Deirdre’s page and let her know I sent you.

I do have to say I am more of a crafter for giving than for financial gain.  I have yet to figure out how to make it all work to make money doing what I love.  But, I am here today to show you some of the past thing’s I’ve recently done.  I am mainly a paper crafter, and oh boy do I love paper!!

These are some Sugar Plum Fairy Baby’s First Birthday card I did .

Cards are easy to personalize for people, even over the internet.

I have another class coming up at Ben Franklin.

This one is coming up quick.

The date is Tuesday May 28th, 2013.  The time is from 10:00am to 12:00 noon.

The cost will be $22.00 for 4 12 x 12 pages. (That translates to 2 complete 2 page layouts, all paper supplies included)

Not included are the following.

SCISSORS, ADHESIVES, FOAM DOTS, DIMENSIONAL FOAM, GLUE DOTS, DISTRESSING INKS AND SPONGES ACRYLIC PAINT FOR DOTS.

Because of time constraints, it is best to do distressing and paint dots at your leisure, at a later time, namely at home.

So, what do you think?  Are you interested in coming?  What about a Kit?

You can order a Kit for $20.00.  If you don’t live by me you just pay for the kit plus shipping, it’s that easy!!

I have based the layouts of course on the lovely Mary Engelbreit.  But I also love the art of  Lauren Child.  I love how she mixes pictures of  real objects with her drawings and art.

That’s what I have done with these layouts.  Some of the items are actual pictures mixed with die cuts and other things.  I just love how everything turned out and I hope you like these layouts too.

If you want to sign up for the class to take from me at Ben Franklin,

Call: (530) 273-1348.

Let them know you want to sign up for a class and they will direct you to the right department.

If you want to order a kit, send me a message at:

jmdegruc@yahoo.com.

I will need a mailing address to quote your shipping.

That’s it for today!

Thanks for stopping by.
