27 MarJW Illustrations + WOW Embossing + Momenta = Amazing!
12 MarI have a new card to share with you with and added technique.
I want to shoe you how I took a digital stamp and used multiple embossing powders to create a One of a Kind card.
I used the Digital Stamp from Jessica Weible Illustraions called HOT AIR BALLOON
What I did first was to print the image out multiple times and used an embossing pen to lay done the embossing ink and then embossed the Hot Air Balloon in the following colors.  I am using all WOW EMBOSSING POWDERS from the line called Candy Counter Collection.
After I embossed all the colors, I carefully cut each one out and pieced the Hot Air Balloon back together.
Because I am lucky enough to work with Momenta on their D-Lite team, I had some paper and products that matched my balloon perfectly.
The papers I used are from this 5 x 7 Cardstock Pad and stickers from their Kaleidoscope line.
Isn’t this just a bright and cherry card?

Thanks for stopping by today…do you love all these bright colors or what??

23 FebI had such a fun time with this card. Â I blew the dust off the ole Cricut and used the Create a Critter cartridge.
I am using all Authentique Papers from the 2 lines called:
I am using the Gel a tins stamps called:
First, I embossed the stamp onto a piece of paper in black.
I adhered it to my card front as shown below.
Next I embossed the Love Knots stamp onto the tree branch and phrase in white.
Then comes the fun part…putting the card together.
A close up of the darling owl! Â Isn’t it adorable??
To keep the card closed, I used a homemade repositionable glue dot under the bottom of the owl.
It lies nice and flat and opens nice an easily:)

CARD
I made a card for this challenge and here is what I came up with.
I used the newer line called Gathering.
I love the color palette of this card, the oranges and blues are so relaxing and inviting together.
I always like to have lots of different elements and this card I have mixed ribbon and papers all within the same color scheme.
Now it is your turn.
Head on over to Authentique Paper’s blog and take a look at the challenge guidelines and join us!
Sketches are so WONDERFUL to follow and really help if you have had a creative block or just need a little pick me up to get you back in to the swing of things now that the holidays have slowed down.
Let them know Jeannie sent you, we all love comments over there!

Winter Blues with Cheery Lynn Designs
6 JanWhether you get the Winter Blues or not, I have some blues to share…
I found this wonderful picture to start me thinking about Cheery Lynn Designs current challenge which is WINTER BLUES.
I then found this gorgeous picture as my inspiration…
If that was not inspiration enough, I came across this quote by Vincent van Gogh that ties it all together, “There is no blue without yellow and without orange.”
Aww..so perfect!
I wanted to show you my background without anything on it.
I used both the Wittle Wickers and Wittle Weavers to create this.
After I built my base, I used the Rectangle Card Stackers to cut it to the size I wanted.
Here is the finished card with the flowers handmade with the new Large Rose die.
I hand dyes coffee filters and then cut these out. Â They are a combo of oranges and yellows, although you can’t tell in this picture.
I used many layers so they are soft and puffy. Â I was trying to make my roses look more like my favorite flowers, ranunculuses.
I hope I have given you some eye candy and a push to join our challenge.
The weekly winner get a $20 gift certificate to Cheery Lynn Designs.
You can go HERE to see all the details on our challenges.
This has been Jeannie with The Polka Cabana with today’s post!
Have a great weekend.
