Wednesday Wowzer, Bee-Lieve it!

10 Oct
It is Wednesday and here I am with my WOWZER for you!!
I am using the {ippity} set called BETTER TOGETHER.
I have used this set many times and love that you can make up your own sayings for it,
therefore the set can be used for EVERYTHING!
On the inside I made my own “honeycomb” strawberry.
I attached a phrase I had leftover to turn this into a cheerful type card.
Here is a side look at my 3-D strawberry 🙂
Bright and colorful, perfectly representing many of my favorite things!
Red…polka dots..cherries…
There you have it, my a Wowzer for this Wednesday!
I hope you have enjoyed my creation for today.

Wednesday Fun with Cherries

11 Jul
Believe it or not..today’s recipe is QUICK AND SIMPLE.
I am using my {ippity} stamps from I Heart {ippity}
I wanted to use the cheery from the set called
I wanted the cherries to stand out, so I made the over all card pretty plain.
I was able to make the cherries appear 3-d by embossing each heart individually and creating the puffy effect you see in the picture.
To finish off the card I had a left over shrink film cherry that I dangled from my sentiment.
Pretty cute..at least I think;)
I hope you have enjoyed my post today.
This has been Jeannie from The Polka Cabana, have a great day!

Wednesday Wowzer Banner

16 May
Today I am using the {ippity} set called New Season, New Wonder.
I am using these mini gift card sized bags from CANVAS CORP as my base.
I thought this would be so cute using nice bright summer colors.
Using powders from WOW EMBOSSING POWDERS was the perfect touch since I had some vibrant colored powders to choose from.
I embellished a little with some puffy stickers I had from MOMENTA.
The puffy fruit stickers were the perfect finishing touch.
These bags are the perfect size to create a banner that is not overwhelming in size.
I hope you have enjoyed this idea of mine!
Do you love banners like I do?
Now…where should I hang this?? hmmm??
This has been Jeannie from The Polka Cabana with today’s post.

An Authentique Paper Never Ending Card

13 Feb
I am excited to share a tutorial with you today. I made a card like this on my blog last week and had a lot of positive feedback, so I thought today I’d share with you how you can make your own.
I have named this card “The Never Ending Card.”
The original pattern for this came out of a book called Very Mary Stationary.
To start you will need 4 pieces of paper.
3 pieces all cut from the same paper will form the base.  The dimensions of those papers are:
4 1/2″ x 10 1/2″
1 1/4″ x 1 3/8″
1 1/4″ x 3 1/2″
The other paper you will cut from Decorative Paper and the dimensions are:
4″ x 4″
Take the longest piece and from the left short edge score lines at
1) 1″
2) 1 3/8″
3) 5 7/8″
6 1/4″
Fold along the score lines and you are creating a box.  Put adhesive on the outer edge of the 1st scored section create the box shape.(see next picture)

Here is what it looks like, I like to decorate the front before assembling, I find it easiest to do it in this order.
For the tabs you will take the shorter pieces of paper and score them at these increments.
The 3 3/8 paper, score from the left at the 1 1/2″ mark and the 1 7/8″ mark.  Fold on the score lines and adhere to the card middle left.  This just acts a barrier so the inside card does not fall out.
For the 3 1/2″ paper score from the left at the 1″ mark and the 1 3/8 mark.  Fold on the lines and adhere the longer end to the inside center right.  To make the tab open or close, either use adhesive velcro or some sort of reusable adhesive.

For the card enclosure you will need on piece of paper that is 4″ x 10 3/4″.  Score this paper at the 2 1/2″ and 6 1/2″ marks.  Fold the shorter panel up to create an pocket and then fold the other score line to create the card.  Embellish as desired.
Here is the completed card front.  You can see that I used a Card Candi for my tab and underneath I used the Tack it Over and Over glue.
Here is a close up of the card front.  Don’t you love the Celebrate Papers?
Here is the card enclosure.
The card enclosure opens up to reveal a pocket inside..
…inside the pocket is a matching gift card holder.
Here is a close up of the gift card holder.  I just love the floral print on the enjoyment paper.
Here are the different pieces side by side.
Isn’t this a great card?
It really is easy to make, if you have any questions regarding how to make this..feel free to ask me.
I have been enjoying working with the Celebrate line and I hope you enjoyed my card today.

I Heart {ippity} Sweetest card EVER!!

17 Aug

Sometimes I go crazy putting everything I have into a project!

Today’s card is utilizing the {ippity} set called:

New Season, New Wonder

I adore this set.

This started in my head as a pretty simple card.

But then what sometimes happens is that these cards take on a life of their own.

I get caught up in my supplies, not to mention the fabulous stamp set!

This has elements of about all my favorite things in the world!

Authentique Paper(blue), American Crafts Cardstock(white), Canvas Corp Paper(polka dot), Cherries, Beads and Chipboard!

I have to point out how thrilled I am with Authentique Paper‘s durability.

By far it stands up the best to embossing and sanding compared to any other paper I have used!

 Bravo Authentique Paper!

Don’t you love that glass cherry in the center?  I have no idea where I got them!

I also love the color combo or blue and red together, so there is another favorite covered!

I would love for you to visit the I Heart {ippity} blog and see the other fabulous designer’s cards!

Have a great day and I hope you have enjoyed my post today!!

Sweet Stamps Christmas in July

12 Jul

Well, if you are visiting me from Sweet Stamps.com, you might wonder why my card has so much color?

Well it is about 3:30am PST and I just got done with my card.  After I had edited my pictures I decided to make sure that I had the right theme, CHRISTMAS.  Imagine my surprise and dismay when I saw the theme was in fact Christmas but, SILVER & GOLD.

So, my snow and star glistening are going to count as my Silver & Gold for this week.

I always try to think of ways to use stamps in a somewhat untraditional way.

So I combined a few stamps to come up with this card.

The tree is such a cute stamp called:  LACE TREE.

I paper pieced the tree in 2 different colored greens and made the cherries from my Cricut.

I combined 2 different phrases for my sentiment:

MERRY CHRISTMAS & A CHEERY HELLO.

I added lots of trinkets and embellishments, I just can’t seem to help it!

So there you have my non traditional Christmas card with a touch of Silver and Gold to qualify for this weeks card.

I invite you to head on over to the Sweet Stamps.com blog and see the other cards our Design Team has made.

Join our challenge and win a $20 gift certificate to Sweet Stamps.com.  Trust me, you will love their stamps.

Thanks for stopping by, I am going to bed now!

A Sweet Birthday card with Sweet Stamps.com

17 May

I am so happy to announce that this week on the Sweet Stamps.com BLOG, the challenge is BIRTHDAY!!

I have to say, of all the cards I make, the ones I give away more than any are Birthday Cards.

Birthday’s can sneak up on you and it is a good idea to keep a couple of cards on hand for those last-minute well wishes.

The Sweet Stamps images and supplies I have used today are:

STAGGERED BIRTHDAY

CHERRIES 311

CUPCAKE 160 (DIE SET)

LITTLE STACKERS SCALLOPED OVALS by CHEERY LYNN DESIGNS

Here is my card using the above items, plus A WHOLE LOT MORE:)

I really like the font that Sweet Stamps.com uses for a lot of their sentiments.

It reminds me of the font that Mary Engelbreit uses.

There are many layers on this card and when you work with many layers, you have to also layer your dimensional foam/pop dots to keep the layering in perspective for each layer.

You can see that I used the CHERRIES stamp for the topper on the cupcake die.

I love the finished look of this stamp and thought it would look great as the focus and then use the cherry that comes with the Cupcake set as embellishments.

For my color palette, I kept all my colors in the COOL TONES.

I used stripes, dots, cherries and fun bright colors for this card.  I stamped and hand cut the phrase for the main sentiment.

I then mounted the sentiment on a couple of LITTLE STACKER SCALLOPED OVALS.

I just adore this card and I hope you have enjoyed today’s creation.

Sweet Stamps For the Ladies Challenge

12 Apr

I am a late blogger, but by how many hours, will remain my secret.

I had one of those days that the SHIRELLES’s sang about:

“Mama said there’d be days like this”

so please excuse my lateness in blogging about this weeks

Sweet Stamps Challenge.

Wow!!  This is Challenge 10, has it really been 10 weeks already?

I used only one Sweet Stamp.  The stamp?  My favorite:

Cherries 311

I tried my hand at water-coloring.  Maybe, or should I say OBVIOUSLY, it is not my strong point, but I tried.

I used a lot of my Cheery Lynn Dies on this card and the CHERRIES stamp you can see is the pattern for her dress…

…the pattern for her hat, the cheery on her basket…

… and the cherry she is picking up.

I turned this into a Mother’s Day Card.

The Cheery Lynn Die that has this adorable little girl is called, Easter Egg Hunt.

Remember, each week that I introduce a challenge, that means there is a  $20 gift certificate to Sweet Stamps that someone can win.  This is not a BEST CARD wins.  It is for everyone, just follow the theme, make a card, make sure you follow all the simple rules of the challenge and link you card up.  You never know who will RANDOMLY be drawn, it could be you!  Here are this weeks guidelines:
