I used this adorable Digital Stamp from Tiddly Inks called:

Tree Hugger

I used a mixture of papers, some from Pink Paislee, Authentique Paper, Doodlebug Inc. and Stampin’ Up!  cardstock.

This card was so fun to make.  All the bright colors just make me giddy!

I love how the tree goes over the top of the page.  I put little extra touches here and there, see if you can spot any!  Can you see my button flower, my bead flower and the bling?

Well since you are here on the first stop for the CARD HOP, it is only fair for you to be tempted by the RAK/BLOG CANDY I am offering.

We will announce all the winner’s on Monday the 19th, some time.

My RAK is all Authentique Paper goodies.  All the papers measure 6 x 6.

I have included a sampling of each and every line they currently offer!

Isn’t this a great way yo start your weekend?

NO HOUSEWORK BLOG HOP

6 Apr

Welcome to the National No Housework Day Online Blog hop

! If you have arrived not knowing until now about the hop, no problem…just go back to

If It’s Groovy

http://ifitsgroovy.blogspot.com

This is where this hop starts and work your way through.

You may find games, prizes, projects and how do-you-dos along the path 🙂

We would appreciate it if you sign up to keep in touch with us by “following” and would love your comments!

Perhaps you arrived here from:

Diana (http://designbydiana.blogspot.com)

Great!  Hope you enjoyed that stop and the others so far!!!

We celebrate this national holiday by scrapping today

and into the weekend with projects that remind us of housework or getting away from it!!!

Take the day off, put up your feet and let’s hop!

For todays hop, I am celebrating my never-ending unorganized, lived in, loved, falling apart, seldom tidy house!

I am not about to show you pictures, but I did make a special plaque to capture my thoughts!

If this is your first stop to my blog, you need to know:

I am crazy about Mary Engelbreit!

I am crazy about polka dots!

I am crazy about cherries!

These are all the theme of my project.

I have taken a plain frame, removed the glass………

Why?

I am not rich enough to buy shadow boxes and this has a lot of layers.

I did not buy anything brand new for this project.  I did the phrase on PSE7, used scraps of wallpaper and just looked through my stash for things to match.

This is the kind of of project that is 100% me!

I love everything about it and now I need to find a place to hang it!

Another phrase that is great for this hop:

HOUSEWORK IS FOR THE BIRDS!!!

Keeping with that theme, I have created this nice prize pack for one lucky person.

It is a card kit.  You will get enough supplies to make (6) of these cards.

Finished Card counts as 1, plus supplies for the 5 others.

If one of the spots on the mushroom look weird, it is Photoshop’d in.

It fell off, and I did not notice till I was editing the pics!  OOPS!!

Side view of this one of a kind card, designed by ME:)

Here is a peek at the supplies (most of them) for the kit.

I hope you like it.

If you LOVE IT and would like an extra chance or chances to win this kit,

I invite you to head on over for the last couple of days of

Tally Scrapper’s

Light It Up Blue” Cyber Crop

Here are the projects I have done for this crop.

If you LOVE my card kit, head on over to TALLY, have a look around, leave some love and you get a 2nd entry for the card kit.

If you make a donation to AUTISM SPEAKS, through TALLY, you will earn a 3rd entry for the card kit.

If you decide to join Tally to have the time of your life, let them know Jeannie, aka, POLKA CABANA, referred you, you will get a 4th entry.

WHEW!!  Are you still with me?

See why we are going through the 10th for this HOP??

Thanks for your visit, please head over to see Kelly at http://kellyisascrapdiva.blogspot.com/

I hope you have enjoyed your visit.

Without further ado…put that broom, mop, dish soap DOWN and go visit KELLY!!

If it is reported back to me that  you have been doing house cleaning or have a clean house already, you will not be eligible for my prize! (JUST KIDDING)

You won’t be LEAF this!

15 Jan

Oh, I am a goofball, I love catchy titles!  Leaves, leaves are everywhere, at least in my craft room.  Cheery Lynn Designs is releasaing their DIMENSIONAL LEAVES DIES this coming Monday.  There are 4 sets, D136 Large Leaves 2, D134 Small Leaves 2, D135 large Leaves 1 and D133 Small Leaves 1.

Head on over to Cheery Lynn Designs Blog to see what the other designers came up with for the DIMENSIONAL LEAVES debut.

Let me stop here to say a couple of words about Cheery Lynn Designs.  If you own a die cut machine, raise your hand.  Wait, that won’t work…I am going to assume most of you do.  Now, if you were to look at your dies what do you like about them?  If I were to answer this, I would have to say that I love the variety, I love the shapes and that there are lots of possibilities with dies.  What I can say about Cheery Lynn Design dies is this: My favorite thing about them is the spectacular detail these dies have.  The new leaf dies are perfect example of this.

To give you a better idea, here is a picture of 2 leaf dies I own from a different die manufacturer.  Cute?  Right?  They have a nice shape and are ok, nothing to do cartwheels about.

But, now let me show you a Cheery Lynn die cut leaf, cut from the same green paper as the above leaves.

Need I say more?  Here is a picture of all the leaves together, no question which one is Cheery Lynn’s Designs.

In honor of the Dimensional Leaves Dies debut, I have made some cards to showcase the versatility of these dies.  Here is just a simple card.  The phrase on the front says: “Just droppin’ you a line”

Here is a close up of the leaves.  I always seem to finish my projects in the middle of the night.  Sorry that there is no outdoor lighting for these.

Next, is a Veggie Tales – Dimensional Leaf card.  This is their first collaboration together 🙂

Isn’t that great?  The inside says: “Is what I am of you!!”  Then I used one of the Cheery Lynn Expression Collection Embossing dies from the Excellence collection.

Now, are you still with me?  I want to make sure you know about 2 contests Cheery Lynn Designs is having.
