The doll is called RUSSIAN DOLL, her wings are SMALL LACE BUTTERFLY WITH ANGEL WING.

The stamp YOU ARE LOVED finishes off the card.  I also used the FRUIT PUNCH Stickles to add some pretty shimmers to this.

I used the HAT AND SCARF SET , MEDIUM SNOWFLAKE and the ICE DAY stamps.   Other supplies I used are Cheery Lynn Designs dies: Sunflower Die, Lace Edger,   Scalloped Rectangle Nesting Dies and Tropical Flourish.

Isn’t it great how the hat and scarf fit the bear? I love how it looks.

Sweet Stamps Tuesday!!

27 Dec

Starting today on the Sweet Stamps blog, we have another new challenge for you!

CELEBRATE

How would you interpret this challenge?

My first thought was BIRTHDAY!

I used the cute little STUFFED ELEPHANT and the HOPE YOUR BIRTHDAY stamps.   Other supplies I used are Cheery Lynn Designs dies:  Sweetheart Frame, Miniature Rose, Black Eyes Susans Embossing Plate.

Although this card is in blue, I think it could easily be a boy or girl card.  With a different sentiment it could be a baby card.

My decorative papers are from the Authentique Paper – Journey stack.  This is such a fun pack of paper, I am sooo glad I have it to play with!

Chipboard fun with Sweet Stamps

13 Dec

Starting today on the Sweet Stamps blog, we have a new challenge for you!

CHIPBOARD

I love chipboard but I have to say, a little over a year ago, I had no idea what to do with it.

I even had to post in forums, “How do you use chipboard?”

Well, now having played with it quite a bit, I know there is pretty much nothing you can’t do with chipboard!

Here is what I have come up with today.

What I did was take this large die cut flower and cut it in half, covered it with cardstock and then embossed the candy canes on the cardstock.

I tried top take a couple of different pictures to catch the shine of the embossed things, pretty hard to do, sorry if you can’t see it.

The ribbon slide flower is also chipboard and I covered it with some decorative paper to compliment the other colors on the card.

If you like chipboard and want to join out challenge, head on over to the Sweet Stamps blog and read the entry requirements and link up with us!

Oh well!

Have a great day!

New Sweet Stamps Card and Challenge

6 Dec

It is Tuesday and it is that time of the week when Sweet Stamps has issued a new challenge.

This week we are challenging you to do a Christmas Bling Card.

Here is what I came up with.

Bear with me.  This was extremely hard to photograph.

If I was able to capture the sparkle and bling, the background was washed out or the wrong green.  If I got the green to be right, you could not see any of the shimmer and sparkle.

I tried outside, inside, in the shade in the light, in the sunlight and nothing worked.  This is the best I could get and I am still not happy with the final outcome.

On the positive side, I have to say, the Holiday Sweets Set is just about the most fantastically fun set ever.  I love how all the candies look stamped.

I could use this set forever and never get tired of it.

Other items used:

Flower Tree

Authentique Paper – Wonder

Sweet Stamps Gate Fold Card

29 Nov

It is Tuesday and it is that time of the week when Sweet Stamps has issued a new challenge.

This week we are challenging you to do a Gate Fold card.

I found this adorable pattern here.

I used the basic design, but added to it.

Here is the card tied up.

This card is actually sized and made to hold a gift card. Here you can see I have untied the bow.

The Sweet Stamps supplies I used are Holiday Sweets Set and Christmas Joy. This is the inside of the card.

I have to tell you, the Holiday Sweets Set is just about the most fantastically fun set ever.  I love how all the candies look stamped.

The image below shows where the gift card enclosure is.

Here is the card with the card portion removed.

Tuesday with Sweet Stamps New Challenge

15 Nov

This week on the  Sweet Stamps blog is a very fun challenge.

Remember that if you link up to our challenge, you have the chance to win a $20.00 gift certificate to Sweet Stamps.com.

The challenge this week is using Non-Traditional colors for a Christmas Card.

I had so much fun making this card and I love the colors.

I used papers from the Christmas Joy  6 x 6 pack by First Edition.

You seriously have to try this paper, it is awesome.  Sweet and whimsical designs and gorgeous prints.

I embossed the Medium snowflake on the paper and also used some of the paper I had embossed with the snowflake for my die cut ornaments.

The I used is called Star & Round Bauble ornament.

**BIG TIP** Before cutting paper that you have embossed, put a layer of wax paper between your die and embossed image or you will end up with your embossed image stuck to your die.

Maybe I know a thing or two about this?

This was a very easy challenge for me since the paper I used has a lot of  non-traditional colors in it.

I would love for you to stop by the Sweet Stamps blog and see what everyone else has come up with.

Hmmm, I wonder what colors everyone has used?

Sweet Stamps Red, Green & Gold Challenge

8 Nov

Well it is time for another Sweet Stamps challenge.

This one is pretty easy!

Red, Green and Gold.

I used the Strawberry Border Large  and the Flower Tree embossing folder for this card.

You might wonder if the Strawberry Stamp is really so small?

The Strawberries you see here are at about 50% of their actual size.

I stamped the image on to some Grafix Arts Shrink Film and then shrunk the images after I colored and cut them.

The shiny red and green metallic papers are also from Grafix Arts called Metallic Foil Board.

I also made this adorable ring with the Strawberry Border Large and Shrink Film.

This is my little 4 year old’s hand.

The ring is a bit tricky to make..but isn’t it the cutest thing?

Here are some different angles.

See the tiny Strawberries?  Remember these are about 50% of their actual stamped size.

I hope you have enjoyed today’s post.  I love trying to create things that will inspire you.

Be sure to check out the Sweet Stamps blog to see the other Design Team Members Red, Green & Gold projects.

Tuesday with Sweet Stamps

1 Nov

It’s Tuesday and remember what that means?   A new challenge, a chance for you to win a $20.00 shopping spree to Sweet Stamps.com!

Not only do they have terrific stamps, they also have tons of accessories and add new stuff every month.

This week the challenge is called:

So Thankful – Whatever you are thankful for

I admit, I stretched the theme a little, I couldn’t help it!

I am thankful for my sewing machine.

I just printed my saying on a piece of background paper using Microsoft word and then created my card.

I used the stamp called:

DRESDEN FLOWER BORDER

I paper pieced the stamped image with paper and fabric.

The Ruler Paper Border is from the Authentique Paper line called:

Blissful

The leaves are done with the die called:

Judy’s Blooms

I added some extra embellishments and sewed around the edge to keep with the sewing theme.

I hope you like my take on the So Thankful theme.

I would love for you to see what the other Design Team Members have made for this challenge.

Head on over to Sweet Stamps blog and prepare to be wowed!

There is so much talent on our team.

Have a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Stamps Easel Challenge

25 Oct

Hooray, it’s Tuesday!  That means what?

A new Sweet Stamps challenge.

This could possibly be my FAVORITE challenge!

Easel Card

I love making these cards.

The concept is to make the top of the card so it opens and stays propped up, like an easel.

I mounted my whole easel card on a larger card base and this is the inside of my card.

Lots of layers, lots of dimension to this card.

I simply adore the way it all came together.

I used the following stamps from Sweet Stamps.com

Rose & Leaf Bold

Thank You Fancy

Other Supplies from Sweet Stamps.com

Uncommon 6×6 Authentique Paper Pad

Cheery Lynn Designs Little Stackers

Misc. Supplies

Authentique Paper Noteables
