Sweet Stamps Red, Green & Gold Challenge

8 Nov

Well it is time for another Sweet Stamps challenge.

This one is pretty easy!

Red, Green and Gold.

I used the Strawberry Border Large  and the Flower Tree embossing folder for this card.

You might wonder if the Strawberry Stamp is really so small?

The Strawberries you see here are at about 50% of their actual size.

I stamped the image on to some Grafix Arts Shrink Film and then shrunk the images after I colored and cut them.

The shiny red and green metallic papers are also from Grafix Arts called Metallic Foil Board.

I also made this adorable ring with the Strawberry Border Large and Shrink Film.

This is my little 4 year old’s hand.

The ring is a bit tricky to make..but isn’t it the cutest thing?

Here are some different angles.

See the tiny Strawberries?  Remember these are about 50% of their actual stamped size.

I hope you have enjoyed today’s post.  I love trying to create things that will inspire you.

Be sure to check out the Sweet Stamps blog to see the other Design Team Members Red, Green & Gold projects.

Join our challenge and be entered to win a $20.00 certificate to the Sweet Stamps store.

Have a great day!

Tuesday with Sweet Stamps

1 Nov

It’s Tuesday and remember what that means?   A new challenge, a chance for you to win a $20.00 shopping spree to Sweet Stamps.com!

Not only do they have terrific stamps, they also have tons of accessories and add new stuff every month.

This week the challenge is called:

So Thankful – Whatever you are thankful for

I admit, I stretched the theme a little, I couldn’t help it!

I am thankful for my sewing machine.

I just printed my saying on a piece of background paper using Microsoft word and then created my card.

I used the stamp called:

DRESDEN FLOWER BORDER

I paper pieced the stamped image with paper and fabric.

The Ruler Paper Border is from the Authentique Paper line called:

Blissful

The leaves are done with the die called:

Judy’s Blooms

I added some extra embellishments and sewed around the edge to keep with the sewing theme.

I hope you like my take on the So Thankful theme.

I would love for you to see what the other Design Team Members have made for this challenge.

Head on over to Sweet Stamps blog and prepare to be wowed!

There is so much talent on our team.

Have a great Tuesday and thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Stamps Easel Challenge

25 Oct

Hooray, it’s Tuesday!  That means what?

A new Sweet Stamps challenge.

This could possibly be my FAVORITE challenge!

Easel Card

I love making these cards.

The concept is to make the top of the card so it opens and stays propped up, like an easel.

I mounted my whole easel card on a larger card base and this is the inside of my card.

Lots of layers, lots of dimension to this card.

I simply adore the way it all came together.

I used the following stamps from Sweet Stamps.com

Rose & Leaf Bold

Thank You Fancy

Other Supplies from Sweet Stamps.com

Uncommon 6×6 Authentique Paper Pad

Cheery Lynn Designs Little Stackers

Misc. Supplies

Authentique Paper Noteables

We love for our friends to join in on our challenges, so head on over to Sweet Stamps blog and see what out Design Team members have come up with.

Sweet Stamps Lots of Layers Challenge

18 Oct

It is Tuesday and you know what that means?  A new challenge is up at Sweet Stamps blog.

Our challenge this time around is all about layers.

Lots Of Layers.

My inspiration for my layers was this lovely ribbon I had.

I made my layers by layering paper in all the colors in the ribbon.

I used a sentiment stamp from Sweet Stamps called: Hope your Birthday

If you love that cupcake die, it is available at Sweet Stamps and is called:  160 Cupcake.

All in all I just love how this turned out and am so happy I had the Ribbon to inspire me.

We love for our friends to join in on our challenges, so head on over to Sweet Stamps blog and see what out Design Team members have come up with.

Sweet Stamps new Challenge “Anything Goes”

4 Oct

Anything Goes…This is my kind of challenge!

No restrictions.

I just got a batch of new Sweet Stamps and I was so excited I was able to do anything I wanted to do.

I chose to do a clean and simple card.

The Sweet Stamps I used are:

Rose & Leaf Bold

Beautiful Day

I colored the roses with Pearlescent Watercolor Paints.  I have been using these paints a lot lately and LOVE THEM.

After I painted them, I added matching glitter and then put an acrylic dimensional topcoat on them to make them shine and stand out.

I finished with some Rhinestones from Rhinestone Hues and that’s all for this card.

Now, who can resist a challenge where you can do anything you want?

Head on over to http://sweetstampsblog.blogspot.com/ to participate in this challenge, just starting today.

You have a chance to win a $20.00 cert. to Sweet Stamps.com and believe me, that is a FUN win!

Criss-Cross Card…Have you made one?

27 Sep

I saw this card pattern awhile ago and really wanted to try it.

I was very excited when I saw that our challenge this week was for this type of card!

For this Criss Cross card, I used this tutorial.

http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/criss_cross_card/

I was amazed at how easy it was to make.

For this card I used the following Sweet Stamps:

Triple Tulips

Friend

My paper is from Authentique Paper. I am convinced they might be the best paper company ever!  Be sure to see my tutorial HERE as to why I think this and HOW I made my paper border.

Splendid

Uncommon

Have you ever just pierced your paper for a nice effect?

Pierce the holes and put some dimensional foam between the pierced paper and the layer underneath to show off the piercing.

Here is the card all put back together with the insert slightly lifted out, so you can see how this card works.

I encourage you to join our challenge here:

http://sweetstampsblog.blogspot.com/

The Criss Cross card is amazingly simple and very satisfying to make.

You can win a $20.00 gift cert. to the Sweet Stamps store, so what are you waiting for???
