8 JulWhat does AMAZING mean to you?

[uh-mey-zing] –adjective
As most of you know…I am a mom to many kids. Â Each one of my kids has their own, outward talents. Â I have one who, if asked, would say, she has no talent.
This 2nd oldest child of mine, has at times felt overshadowed by her older sibling, for his accomplishments in the creative sense.
My oldest daughter, who had been home schooled for quite a few years, is back in public school as a SENIOR!!
Whenever she has an assignment, in a class she really likes..she has always gone, WAY BEYOND what one expect.
She had a project for one of her classes, I think she needed to do a drawing of a conflict or scene in the book.
She could have done..just a simple drawing and handed it in..but no! Â She did her project a’ la SOFIA.
She fretted so much about this and I am sure that she was very uncomfortable with the way her FINAL project turned out. Â She is not one to bring attention to herself, but when she puts her heart into something..
**”The whole world stops and stares for a while”
This post is to pay tribute to her, Â because…
**”When I compliment her
She wont believe me
And its so, its so
Sad to think she don’t see what I see”
** ~ from  Just The Way You Are Lyrics by Bruno Mars~
I created this page for this weeks challenge on The Lollipop Spot. Â The challenge this week = YELLOW.
You can’t really see the detail of her picture, so here are some larger images.

One more time, the whole Image..
Sadly, Â here teacher wants to keep it(sad for mom)..she also did this on poster board..so I am a little worried how it will age(weird mom!)
What do you think?? Â Well, that is my definition of AMAZING!!
For some unrelated news…here is a card I did as part of a Design Team Submission I did for the company IMAGINISCE. Â I am hoping they will view my whole portfolio on the blog, but they asked for us to create a project using at least 75% of their stuff. Â So here is what I came up with.

Talk about competition….wish me luck. Â This would be like a DREAM TEAM…but competition is steep and numerous. Â I am sure.
That is it for today…I have some fun ideas for tomorrow and next week!
Just Lollipopping along!

This is a masculine line…but I made it work for a GIRL PAGE, well at least I think I did!
Play Money for my Kids…because my son is really into buying things from me…like a pair or scissors, a piece of paper, etc.
Lastly, this is a page I did for the CHALLENGE which was for LEAVES. Â This is using the NUTTY BUDDY line.
Today a new challenge was posted. Â The challenge is…..YELLOW!!! Â So, go make something yellow. Â If you email me letting me know you are participating by WEDNESDAY this week, I will post your creation, along with mine, here on my blog..along with all your blog info..etc!!! Â Any takers? Â Come on..let’s go get our yellow stuff out!!!!
I am in so much trouble!!
15 OctOk…I graduated in 1987…Married in 1989…Had my first child in 1991…Started SCRAPBOOKING in 1992.
Since 1992, I have always done the traditional scrapbook thing. Â Remember, taking a roll of pictures, Â taking the film to the store..waiting for the pics, picking them up, throwing half of them away because they were lousy?
Oh those were the days. Â Fast forward to now.
DIGITAL CAMERAS.
Now we take oodles of pictures, load them onto our computer and complain because we can’t afford to print them out etc.
What does this all mean?
Well, I have already announced that I am designing for a start-up company, THE LOLLIPOP PRESS. Â I was brought on to be a HYBRID girl. Â Hybrid girl, I will be, but thanks to JESSICA, I am really starting to get hooked on this digital process.
AGH!!!! Â I DO NOT, I REPEAT, I DO NOT NEED ANOTHER HOBBY!!
But hey, this one is not messy right? Â Also, this is a way to get through all those pics on the computer that are sitting there patiently waiting for me to do something with them. Â I can make some DIGI PAGES, if I can print them out some day, OR I can simply do something like make slide shows on my computer put to music and this can be very cost effective.
So, I want to show you again, and will keep highlighting, my works in progress as I learn new things. Â At the bottom of this post I am posting me DIGI page I did for THE LOLLIPOP PRESS, just because I wanted to try my hand at it. Â Remember, my ALPHABET GIVEAWAY is still going..so if you want a chance to win a piece of art designed by ME with YOUR pictures..be sure to sign up, leave a comment on the post titled : October 12
“Have I lost my touch? Trying something new, then!“
On, with this post:  Here is another one of my DIGI LESSON final products.  In this lesson, I learned how to draw that brown outline around my pics, but more importantly how to make the brown out line not got through my words.  There are some techy terms I could throw at you here, but I will refrain!
Here is my Lesson 2 finished product. Â In this one I learned how to make that shape in the back (the pink one) and apply a patterned paper to it. Â I always add stuff that are not included in the lesson..but this is pretty much close to the lesson agenda.
Lastly if you happen over to THE LOLLIPOP PRESS today, you will see that I am the Designer of the day. Â Hooray! Â If you scroll down on THE LOLLIPOP PRESS page, you can see other Designers pages made with the same supplies. Â The possibilities are endless with THE LOLLIPOP PRESS‘s kits. Â I hope you enjoyed my sharing for the day!!
Here is my featured page on THE LOLLIPOP PRESS‘s home page.
Today, I leave with you a thought:
Every artist was first an amateur.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Just remember, we all have to start somewhere!!
ROYGBIV, I love you!!
6 AugI have to tell you, seeing the colors of the rainbow all lined up, makes me giddy. I mean I feel a surge of happiness just looking at something based on the simple colors of a rainbow. I entered a swap for some ATC cards. I needed to create the cards based something that is ME! I have NEVER done these before..so I just made mine like a mini card. I found a wonderful phrase to go with my design and of course, I added some POLKA DOTS and voilà , here is my finished project!
I found this wonderful product on ETSY. I think the commercial name for them is DEW DROPS. They make any project sparkle and add a little pizzaz. I have tried to take a close up so you can see them.
You can really see the 3D effect on this one. Such a happy project!
Can you believe I made 20 of those? They were A LOT of work. All the scraps are sewn first, then I sewed all the flower/button accessories, added sparkle, dew drops and polka dots!! Lots of love in these. I really enjoyed making them!
In the next few days I can reveal my PK GLITZ design team projects, I have to wait for them to post them, then I can show you!! I also have to show you another finished project, the one I was calling the “MANTEL PROJECT” It is done..pictures soon!! Let me know how you like the ATC’s!!!!
My very first Design Team Challenge
18 JunOne of my new best friends makes the most adorable SVG files and has a store on ETSY called Paper Faces Designs. You can find her blog at http://theresetravis.net/ I have been honored to be part of her all brand new start-up DESIGN TEAM and I am GIDDY. This is my project using one of her designs. The file is called “CHLOE” in her ETSY shop. If you have a CRICUT and a little girl, you have to visit her blog and ETSY store.
My project will be one of a total of 7 you will see over time. I want to keep this short so I will not explain what my project will all entail, but my project I am posting here is Phase 1 of 7 phases (think kids). I hope you enjoy. Please leave me some feedback and critique the project, ok?
Jeannie
