Gel A Tins – The Simple Life card

19 Apr

I have made a very clean and simple card for you today.

I am using the set called WILD THINGS.

This has got to be my favorite Gel A Tins set!

I decided to go simple with my colors.

You can see my main color is white.

I have been working a lot with Grafix Arts paper products.

They have amazing Vellum and all my white paper is vellum.

(sorry you can see the adhesive, it must have been the time of night, since you can’t see the the adhesive indoors!)

I love how white embossing powder looks on white vellum!  So pretty!

I also have used Grafix Arts Black Chipboard to make the frame for my sentiment. It is amazing, since it is black all the way through!  PERFECT for mounting and framing things!

I wanted to create a peaceful setting with the placement of the flowers and butterflies..

OK

I thought this would be the perfect for someone going through a rough spot.  Someone who needed to take time out and enjoy the little things in life!

Simpler times!

(I think I need to mail the card to myself!!)

I hope you have enjoyed my project for today, this has been Jeannie with The Polka Cabana with today’s post.

Gel A Tins Wild Things Botanical Card

15 Mar

I have a beauty for you today.  Plus I have an idea for you try out while we are at it!

I am using MOJO MONDAY’S SKETCH

But for my card I turned it and used the sketch this way.

What I did first was to get all my supplies out to stamp on a piece of twill tape.

I just regular stamping ink in a dark color and randomly stamped the twill tape.

Since I was using the sketch, I cut all my papers and figured out what would go where, before I decided where to stamp on the papers.

Here I have all my papers stamped and I’m ready to assemble my card.

Here is the finished card.

The white part of the card is more of a cream color, I had a hard time getting the lighting right today! Sorry!

I just love this set.  There is so much you can do with this.  The images are all just gorgeous.

If you like my color and paper palette, I have Authentique Paper to thanks for that.  I am using their line called Free Bird Comfort & Familiar.

I will be entering this in Mojo Monday’s Challenge # 232.

I hope you enjoyed my idea, this would also work on certain ribbons, so I would love to hear if you try this out!  Let me know.
