White on White Elegance

20 Jul
Hello, it’s me, Jeannie with a card based on our theme over on the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge Blog.
The theme is White on White.
There are so many fantastic entries so far.
Our designers also have some fabulous samples to show you so be sure to visit over there soon.
Here is my card based on the theme.
I started by using the Rectangle Scallop and embossing is with my favorite embossing plate, Black Eyed Susans.
The decorative edge you see to the right of the ribbons is made from s strip cut from Cuties 3.
The tag with the phrase is made from 2 layers of French Flair.
The flowers are made from Judy’s Blooms.
The phrase is from an {ippity} set called Be Brave Branch Out.
I have really enjoyed making cards to go along with our challenge themes.  If I am ever stuck for an idea, I just look at what the them is and I immediately have an idea to jump start me.
I hope you have enjoyed my post today.  This has been Jeannie with The Polka Cabana.
Have a great Friday.

I Heart {ippity} New Stamps!!!

14 Mar

I have a beauty for you today.  Plus I have an idea for you try out while we are at it!

I am using MOJO MONDAY’S SKETCH #232

I am also super excited to say that I was one of the winners for Mojo Monday’s Sketch #231!

It was my first time even entering one of their sketch challenges and you can imgaine my surprise when I saw I was one of the winners! I am sooo excited!!

I am using a brand new set called:

Be Brave…Branch Out

Here is my version of the sketch.

Now the new thing I tried on this card, was to take that pin and after I had machine gathered my twill tape, I ran the pin through the center of the tape,

Next time, I will slip the machine gathering and just gather it on the pin and save some time!

If you like my color and paper palette, I have Authentique Paper to thanks for that.  I have used paper from different lines but I love how I can mix and match and still have it all blend perfectly.

I will be entering this in Mojo Monday’s Challenge # 232.

I hope you enjoyed my idea, this would also work on certain ribbons, so I would love to hear if you try this out!  Let me know.

This has been Jeannie with The Polka Cabana with today’s post.
