Authentique Paper is at Scrapbook Steals today!!!

5 Mar

I have been so extremely blessed to work with Authentique Paper products for the past months.

If you have not gotten a chance to play around with their products then you need to get on over and take part in the Scrapbook Steals, steal today.

THE JOURNEY COLLECTION

To add to the excitement, Scrapbook Steals has a sketch up for MONDAY CARD MADNESS.

Here is the sketch:

Since Scrapbook Steals is featuring the JOURNEY COLLECTION today, I have made a card with this sketch to show you how gorgeous the JOURNEY COLLECTION is.

Here is what I came up with:

The blues and browns in this collection are so versatile.

I hope you get on over to Scrapbook Steals and get in on this steal!

When we first got the sketch assignment, I thought we were supposed to use the GENUINE COLLECTION and I made this card for the sketch challenge.

I ADORE this line, I would say it is my favorite, but truth be told, all the Collections are my favorite!

So, there you have it, you get 2 inspirational cards from me to tempt you into joining in on the challenge over at the Scrapbook Steals Blog.

I invite you to visit the Scrapbook Steals Blog and see what the other DT members came up with for this sketch!  We have such a crazy talented team, I promise you will get some great inspiration over there.

I hope you have enjoyed my post today!

Go and have yourself a GREAT week!

Sweet Stamps Tuesday!!

27 Dec

Starting today on the Sweet Stamps blog, we have another new challenge for you!

CELEBRATE

How would you interpret this challenge?

My first thought was BIRTHDAY!

I used the cute little STUFFED ELEPHANT and the HOPE YOUR BIRTHDAY stamps.   Other supplies I used are Cheery Lynn Designs dies:  Sweetheart Frame, Miniature Rose, Black Eyes Susans Embossing Plate.

Although this card is in blue, I think it could easily be a boy or girl card.  With a different sentiment it could be a baby card.

My decorative papers are from the Authentique Paper – Journey stack.  This is such a fun pack of paper, I am sooo glad I have it to play with!

If you like challenges and want to join out challenge, head on over to the Sweet Stamps blog and read the entry requirements and link up with us!

You have a chance to win a $20.00 gift certificate to Sweet Stamps and you can buy some really fun stamps and accessories there!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!  Can you believe it is almost 2012?

Where has the time gone?

Well…I am off to make a new card, have a great day!

All Occasion beauty!

23 Dec
On my last Cheery Lynn Designs post, when I had made the Tussie Mussie, I really loved using the Wittle Weavers for weaving the base.  I knew this week I wanted to use the Wittle Weavers again, but this time I used them on my card background.
The creme and blue papers are woven together and then I used the Stitcher Plate to create the stitched look.
I love flowers so much and I never tire of creating them.  It is fun finding new ways to make them.
For the rolled up looking flower, I took the Wittle Wicker and cut strips of the blue and red papers.
Then I glued the strips together and wound them around a button to create the rolled flower.  The flower with the petals is made from our brand new Medium Rose.  The accordion flower is made with the leftover scraps I had from cutting out the ZIG ZAG RIC RAC.
Other dies I used were the Lace Edger and the Tropical Flourish.
The teddy bear is done on shrink film and is and adorable digital stamp from Whimsy Stamps called Teddy’s house.  It is removable to use as a decoration/ornament etc.
That does it for my project today!  I truly look at it and smile.
I never tire of making things and I hope you never tire of the things I share.
My wishes to all you are to have a wonderful holiday, enjoy your family and loved ones as we all celebrate this beautiful season.
Merry Christmas everyone!
This has been Jeannie from The Polka Cabana with today’s post.
All decorative paper is from Authentique Paper’s  – Journey.
