Bright Summer Greetings

3 Aug
For my post on the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog,
I have a bright and simple card today for this hot weather we are having in California.
It you can’t beat it join in, right?
If you head on over to the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge Blog:
the challenge is  Hot Summer Colors.
I found this image while searching for summer colors.
http://www.123rf.com/photo_1391552_colorful-abstract-background-with-hot-summer-colors-and-palms-trees.html
I liked it so much, I used it as the basis for my card.
Here is the card I have made for today’s post, based on the above design.
I used the ECCENTRIC CIRCLES embossing plate to emboss the background panels of papers first.
The leaves are from the TROPICAL LEAVES set.
The flowers are the smaller flowers from JUDY’S BLOOMS.
The word “aloha” is cut from the LOWERCASE LACE SCRIPT.
The style of the card is more clean and simple than things I usually do, but I just love the over all look and think this makes a gorgeous card!
What do you think?
I hope you have a great weekend.

Wednesday Wowzer Banner

Today I am using the {ippity} set called New Season, New Wonder.
I am using these mini gift card sized bags from CANVAS CORP as my base.
I thought this would be so cute using nice bright summer colors.
Using powders from WOW EMBOSSING POWDERS was the perfect touch since I had some vibrant colored powders to choose from.
I embellished a little with some puffy stickers I had from MOMENTA.
The puffy fruit stickers were the perfect finishing touch.
These bags are the perfect size to create a banner that is not overwhelming in size.
I hope you have enjoyed this idea of mine!
Do you love banners like I do?
Now…where should I hang this?? hmmm??

I have a side job. (I know, big surprise)  I work at a local gym, doing all the management and billing, fun stuff like that.  One of our personal trainers needed some GENERIC cards that she could use when needing to send a card to client for different occasions.  Such as, encouragement, thank – you, etc.  The bathing suit card is made on my Cricut.  I used an SVG file I purchased from TOMIANNIE on ETSY:    http://www.etsy.com/shop/tomiannie Here is a set of cards I came up with.  I am still waiting to hear how she like them!  ~ Jeannie

One card from the set.
